I love Indian curry, like butter chicken, saag paneer, etc. After making some at home following recipes, I got the basic idea of how to. Today I skipped lunch and was craving for Indian chicken curry, so I took some spices out from pantry and start fixing it. I write down recipe here, but basically I just tossed things in, taste some, and add little more to adjust.
Indian Chicken Curry
(3 serving)
2 Onion (small diced)
1/3 cup oil
1 (14oz) can diced tomato
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp minced ginger
1 tsp ground cummin
1 tsp ground corriandar
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
2 chicken breasts
1 cup greek yogurt
1/2 cup water
- Cook onion until it gets light brown and soft.
- Add diced tomato can, cook until oil separates from tomato & onion.
- Add spices to make sauce. Cut chicken in bite sizes, cook in sauce.
- Add yogurt & water, simmer.
Unfortunately I didn't have Indian rice or bread. All I have is Japanese sushi rice. Oops. It was pretty good though.
